In Year 2025, Apple will introduce a Vision Headset Worth $2,000

Although Apple hasn’t exactly changed the industry with its Vision Pro, the firm isn’t given up on creating headsets that blend the virtual and physical worlds.

According to a recent story from Mark Gurman of Bloomberg, Apple may deliver its next major mixed reality product as early as next year. The Vision headset, which will cost around $2,000 (about $2,700), is less expensive than the $3,500 Vision Pro. In order to save costs, Apple would forgo the EyeSight function, which projects the wearer’s eyes outside of the headset, and substitute a less powerful CPU for cheaper materials.

The next big thing would be a second-generation Vision Pro in 2026, and in 2027 there may be smart glasses (like Meta’s Ray-Bans) and AirPods with cameras.

An update on Apple’s smart home approach may be found in the same paper. Although the firm hasn’t had much luck in this area either, there are also plans for “an affordable iPad-like screen” that could be used for FaceTime conversations, TV watching, and app use and put around the home. A $1,000 or so tabletop robot arm gadget would come next.
